As I start this post, it is early in the morning and I am not getting ready to head into the classroom. Instead I am a bit groggy from a late night of travel but super excited to get to spend the next three days learning more about how to effectively share my faith with my students and my world. Three of my amazing coworkers are with me at the Los Angeles Catechetical Congress and we are stoked for this opportunity.
Today I get to go to a workshop led by Bishop Robert Barron, as well as sessions on poetry and Islam in the Modern World. I can’t wait to share with you all the amazing highlights of each day as it comes to an end. Stay tuned to hear all the cool stuff we have learned and interesting sights we have seen. (We may be heading to Disney in our non-conference time.). I am also going to try to spread the news about the blog and hopefully learn lots of new ideas to share in my classroom and here.
Check back in at the end of the day for pictures, ideas and reflections on day one of the Congress!
